For new and returning Poco Farm Camp girls, ages 9-13, July 10-14. From 7:45 am to 1:30 pm everyday. The girls will learn to make cheese, pie and ice cream, can jam, do yoga, do chores, care for goats and chickens, and use natural dye plants. We play games, run around in the sprinklers, and do "sit spots" for the girls to get some peaceful alone time as well. Campers receive a "Poco Farm Guidebook" with all the recipes, coloring and journaling space, information about goats and chickens, and a reference list for further reading. See details on the flyer by Maddie Gordon below. If cost is prohibitive, or if you have something wonderful to trade, we are open to bartering for tuition.
For returning Poco Farm Camp girls ONLY, we are teaching a new Project Camp, July 17th-21st. This is a project-based camp in which the girls will do yoga, and farm chores as with the first camp, but with a focus on one major farm project. The returning campers will have an opportunity to delve deeper into the skills involved with this project (TBD), learning skills like responsibility, collaboration, compassionate listening, and commitment, with a lot of fun and team work. Details in the flyer below, made by Clio Calvin, one of our campers. As always, if cost is prohibitive, or if you have something wonderful to trade, we are open to bartering for tuition.
